This 6-week workshop introduces the core pillars of watercolour painting with a special focus on birds as your central subject. Whether you're a complete beginner or have some drawing experience, you’ll explore a variety of apprroaches to help you grow your skills with confidence. Besides getting to know birds more in depth, you'll learn how to build effective drawings from scratch. You’ll finally understand concepts like negative space, and discover how to use detail and texture to make your images pop and capture attention without overwhelming the viewer. We’ll talk about what features are key to identifying a bird – like silhouette, beak shape, posture, and plumage pattern – and how to translate those details into your own drawings.
