As a massive bird enthusiast, photographer and observer, I started working my way towards a bird ID book – something I wish I had when I was younger. Illustrative enough to keep a reader engaged, but realistic enough to depict species in a recognizable way. Although I had to abandon this project halfway, it remains a great foundation for a vibrant and colourful beginner guide.
